Wildlife and the Wall: How animals navigate barriers on the US-Mexico border with Eamon Harrity.

Border walls are spreading around the world, including right here in Arizona. Sky Island Alliance has used motion activated cameras to study the impacts of border barriers on wildlife movements since 2020. Join Eamon Harrity to learn about these monitoring efforts and how different species respond to border barriers.

Our speaker:

Eamon Harrity is the wildlife program manager at Sky Island Alliance, where he leads several wildlife research projects including a study investigating the impacts of border barriers on wildlife connectivity. Eamon completed his MSc at the University of Idaho while study the migration behaviors of an endangered bird and moved to Tucson in 2021 to join Sky Island Alliance.
